Autumn Pet Photography

What an amazing day to photograph some autumn pet photography.  Today I meet Arwen. A 10 year black lab who was very much not your average 10 year.  She was very much active and was the friendliest dog I worked with in a long time.  When doing pet photography, here are a few tips I find useful for the photography shoot:

1. Use Natural Light

If possible always use natural light when taking your pet in picture. Avoid flash, as flash burst can, not only cause red-eye, but also frighten the animal. Instead try to go outside or, if it is not possible, in a room well lit by a large window.

1.  Use natural lighting when possible.  The flash not only can cause red light, but could scare your pet and cause stress and anxiety.

2.  Be patient!  Pet photography requires a patient pet photographer.  No matter how happy or excited your new best friend is, they will calm down and let you have a opportunity to grab that amazing pet photo, like below.  If you are interested in have your pet (s) photographed, contact Robbin Manuel at (518)852-3519 today
